Here is a bit about me, just to get things started:
I was born in Minnesota and I have 3 siblings, twin brothers 2 years older than me and my LilBro, 3 years younger. Most of us migrated to Colorado, including our parents. My father passed away over 7 years ago, and my mother lives only a few miles from me.
I married my high school sweetheart, Ed, and we have 6 children and 13 grandchildren. All of them also live close by, and we feel incredibly blessed because of that!
I was diagnosed with MS shortly after I had baby #6, right in the prime of my life, as is so common with this disease. To make matters worse, I had just enrolled in nursing school, with the goal of obtaining a Bachelors Degree in Nursing.
At that time, there was not nearly as much information on MS as there is now. Plus there was not a lot of support. My goal in doing a blog/vlog is to hopefully be a source to those who would like some encouragement, information, or who just simply want to connect with others. I plan to talk about the good times, the difficult times; the happy times, the depressing times; the boring times, the exciting times; the hopeful times and the hopeless moments. I also plan to give some general information and tips that I have found useful over the years, and to talk about some things that were not helpful at all.
Now, this is a VERY lofty goal for someone with MS, as there are days when I have absolutely NO initiative at all. And this will continue to be a work in progress, as I have no measurable technological skills whatsoever!
However, we are NEVER too old or infirm to learn! So, please bear with me as we journey together and help each other!

AND YES, I got my degree, and that was only the beginning!
